It would be easy to expand this site into dozens of categories overnight — Amazon's catalog is enormous, and there's no shortage of products to list. We've deliberately not done that, and it comes down to a simple limitation: we can only vet what we understand.
Some categories require domain knowledge we don't yet have to a level we're comfortable with — things like supplements, medical devices, or technical electronics where a wrong recommendation could actually matter to someone's health or a significant purchase decision. Rather than list products in those categories based on star ratings alone, we've chosen to leave them out until we can genuinely evaluate them.
Other categories are flooded with near-identical, frequently rebranded listings from overseas sellers, where the products themselves may be fine, but distinguishing a good listing from a mediocre one requires more digging than we can currently do at scale.
Our approach is to grow the categories we cover deliberately — adding a new one only once we're confident we can apply the same evaluation process we use everywhere else on the site. That means this site will always be narrower than the full Amazon catalog, and we think that's a reasonable tradeoff for keeping what is here worth trusting.
